The
motorway, highways and roads constuties major activity. The
firm has technical staff form a multi-disciplinary team aimed
at enusring excellence in all fields of Transport Engineering.
DMC contributed extensively in that arena ensuring the international
standards are not to be compromised when it comes to safety,
quality and precision.
The division is fully equipped to undertake data collection,
roadside interview surveys, automatic and manual traffic count
and axle load surveys, topographic, soils, materials, hydrological
and seismic surveys. In-house facilities are available for
electronic data computing and computer aided plotting and
mapping backed-up by electronic total stations, data recorders,
theodolites and all other first order leveling equipment.
Bridge design is yet another specialty of this division. The
division is competent to design all types of bridges employing
a variety of techniques ranging from simple, conventional
slabs to transversely pre-stressed deck slabs and pre-stressed
girders or suspended spans supported on cantilevered box girders
using caissons, individual spread footings or piles, as dictated
by site considerations. The division has designed 663 bridge
structures to date including several bridges in the most difficult
and treacherous terrain of the northern areas of Pakistan.
